Since its release, we have received many great questions and suggestions from our community. Today, we want to answer some of the most common concerns about phone case compatibility, cable length, charging power, and future improvements.
Can ChubbyCable StandLite Work With Phone Cases?
This is currently the most frequently asked question.
The answer is: Yes, but it depends on your phone case thickness.
Thin phone cases are generally compatible with StandLite. However, thicker protective cases may not fit properly because the charging connector needs enough space to fully insert into the phone port.
As shown in the image below, there is approximately 2mm of space between the stand structure and the bottom edge of the phone.
If your phone case thickness is within around 2mm, you can confidently use StandLite. Before purchasing, we recommend checking your phone case thickness to ensure the best experience.
Why Not Make a Longer Charging Connector for Thicker Cases?
Some users have suggested making the charging connector longer so it can fit more types of phone cases.
We completely understand this idea. A longer connector could help support more case designs, but it would also create another challenge.
When the phone is placed in stand mode, the charging connector is not only transferring power — it is also carrying part of the mechanical load. A longer connector would increase the leverage force applied to both the cable connector and the phone charging port.
This means:
- More stress on the cable connector
- More pressure on the phone charging port
- Less stability during stand usage
The current design focuses on balancing three forces:
- The pressure on the charging connector
- The pressure on the phone's charging port
- The support from the two stand legs
This balance helps maintain durability and stability during everyday use. As long as the stand is used normally and not forced or bent aggressively, it is designed to provide reliable long-term performance.
However, we also understand the needs of users with thicker cases.
Our design team is continuously exploring new possibilities, including:
- A longer connector version
- A retractable connector design
- A removable connector design

Will There Be a Longer Cable Version?
Another popular request from our customers is a longer cable option.
Currently, StandLite comes in one length: 1.5M (4.9ft).
While this length works well for desks, bedside charging, and everyday use, we understand that some users need more flexibility — especially for larger rooms, gaming setups, or couch charging.
Longer versions, such as:
- 8ft
- 10ft
are already being considered for future development.

Does a Phone Really Need 240W Charging?

“Do phones actually need 240W?”
The answer is: Not necessarily at the moment.
Most smartphones today do not require 240W charging power. However, the advantage of a 240W cable is that it is not limited to smartphones.
